Light at eye level, pattern on the wall.

Sconces are the quietest way to get this pattern into a room. Mounted flat, a pierced disc turns the wall itself into the fixture, and the halo spreads a metre or more around it.
They work in pairs flanking a bed, a mirror or a doorway, and singly along a hallway at intervals. Because they sit at eye level, the quality of the piercing shows more here than anywhere else.
